Welcome to The Courageous Survivor

This isn’t just a platform—it’s a movement. One rooted in truth, transformation, and total wellness.

After years of advocacy work with Standing Courageous, my mission evolved. What began as a nonprofit effort to support victims grew into a deeper calling—one shaped by personal experience, professional insight, and the sobering realization that systems alone can’t heal survivors. The weight of underfunded programs, the isolation of the pandemic, and the fragmentation of support networks exposed the need for something more: authentic voices, bold truth, and integrated healing.

I realized my story—my survival—could bridge the very gaps that left so many feeling unseen and unheard.

My Mission

To speak truth, foster healing, and advocate for holistic transformation by sharing my lived experience of trauma, survival, and recovery. I aim to educate individuals and systems on the profound mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual impacts of trauma—especially in the context of child abuse, domestic violence, strangulation, and brain injuries resulting from abuse. Through podcasting, public speaking, coaching, blogging, and professional training, I challenge the status quo and empower others to break their own chains and redesign their lives.

My Mission, In a Few Words:

Empowering healing. Educating systems. Inspiring change from within.

My Vision

A world where survivors are met with compassion, not judgment. Where healing isn’t siloed, but integrated. Where systems work together—not in isolation—to support the whole person. I envision a future where the voices of survivors are not only heard but help reshape how we deliver care, create policies, and respond to trauma. Through education, storytelling, and advocacy, I strive to cultivate connection, foster resilience, and lead the charge toward true trauma-informed care.

What I Offer

Speaking Engagements

I deliver raw, real, and powerful talks on trauma recovery, brain injury, mental health, child abuse, domestic violence, and the intersection of traditional and functional medicine. I share how strangulation and abuse led to my near-fatal brain injury—and how misdiagnosis, misunderstanding, and broken systems delayed my healing for over a decade. These keynotes inspire action and awareness while humanizing the complex impact of trauma.

Specialized Training for Professionals

From first responders to healthcare teams, legal professionals to advocates—I provide training rooted in both professional insight and lived experience. My sessions focus on the long-term impacts of trauma, brain injuries, and strangulation—highlighting how abuse rewires the brain, body, and behavior. I help professionals build trauma-informed practices that go beyond checkbox training and into the heart of survivor care.

Workshops & Seminars

Interactive, heart-centered, and transformative. These sessions explore real-life recovery from childhood abuse and violence, strategies for rebuilding after brain injury, and the connection between trauma and chronic illness. Designed to serve both individuals and systems, they provide practical tools to foster resilience and long-term wellness.

Consulting for Agencies Supporting Survivors

I partner with organizations and agencies serving survivors of abuse, child maltreatment, domestic violence, and strangulation to help them adopt trauma-informed, survivor-centered approaches. I consult on protocol development, survivor engagement, brain injury awareness, and system collaboration—ensuring your efforts are compassionate, evidence-informed, and effective.

Personalized Coaching

I offer one-on-one coaching for individuals recovering from trauma and abuse, including those navigating the effects of traumatic brain injuries from domestic violence. My coaching blends lived insight with professional strategies to help clients rebuild a life grounded in wellness, intention, and self-trust.
